Appalling customer service, had to wait ages in office for key, pay to store luggage and to top it all after our friend got locked into the bathroom by a faulty lock they refused to come out to help so had to call the fire brigade. After this traumatic experience they charged us! And way to much to replace a lock and didn't offer an invoice for the work... Or even a call to see if we were ok, absolutely diabolical.
Central location although long winded to find the office for the key then travel to the apartment with luggage (lots and lots of stairs). Clean.
Customer service. Very uncomfortable beds, 1 rock hard pillow. Noisy area.
Poor Maintenance Policy
In general: We stayed at Best Venice apartments for the Carnival I’m early Feb 2918. The apartment itself was perfect for 6 ladies and well placed for the Vaporetto on the Grand Canal. We found the offices fairly easily and checked in and went to find our accommodation. We dropped our bags and then decided to go and explore Venice. All went well. Having been up since 4am with a flight out of Luton at 7am we decided to go for supper on our way back to the apartment. Once we had eaten we went back to settle in for the evening. At about 10/10.30pm we realised one of our party was missing. It transpires that Karen was locked in one of the two bathrooms which had a sliding door and turning lock. We made several attempts to turn the lock from the outside, as did Karen from the inside as it wasn’t budging. After nearly an hour we realised that we weren’t going to get her out so we called the offices who informed us that maintenance stopped at 11pm, it was just after. They said we should call the fire brigade! We did this and were told that they would be with us shortly. Five firemen arrived and it took them at least 10 mins to open the door. By this time Karen had been locked in for over an hour. They then proceeded to remove the lock to avoid this happening again. Despite the upset to Karen and the inconvenience to us we have been charged €200 to cover the cost of the lock. This is outrageous as it was through no fault of ours that Karen was locked in. We did what we were told to do and at no point were we told that we would be liable for the faulty lock. Perhaps they would have preferred it if we had left the lock for the next unsuspecting guest to become trapped. Sadly because of this we would not book these apartments again and would advise everyone not to do so. Service: Awful customer service. Useful tips: Don’t book with them!
Nice apartment, not very well equipped - eg 12 espresso cups and only 2 teacups - very thin pillows, only one each.
THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS APPALLING. One of our guests got trapped in the bathroom when the lock broke. I called the reception who refused to help and told me to call the fire brigade. I did this and they came and after one hour managed to free the guest. The lock was faulty so they removed it to ensure no-one else got trapped. I have now received a bill for a new lock - even though this one was faulty and I didn't remove it, the fire brigade did! They didn't even bother to follow up and see if we were ok and if the guest had been freed. This is terrible customer service and all they care about is the money. Look elsewhere for your stay in Venice!
